The Tyrosinemia 2015 International Conference has brought numerous positive impacts for the GAETQ (Québec Tyrosinemia Group). Given the amount of new projects that the GAETQ contemplates and the amount of work that needs to be achieved, the Council of Administration has unanimously voted to hire a contractual resource that will have the mandate to lead the projects and allow the organization to achieve its objectives.

Madame Janick Tremblay, who has been involved in the organization for numerous years, was hired as project manager for the GAETQ. Janick acted as president of the organizing committee for the Tyrosinemia 2015 International Conference. She has a demonstrated numerous times her commitment and her competence. Janick has a long experience in the field of hereditary diseases as an affected person, but also through the five years during which she worked for CORAMH (Corporation for research and action of hereditary diseases). Her ability to communicate both in French and English will allow her to conduct project on an international level. Janick is also familiar with the actors that gravitate in this field. She has gained the confidence and respect of several renowed Tyrosinemia actors, which is an asset for our organization.

Janick’s mandate will be to promote the organization, represent the GAETQ on several committees, promote and facilitate research on the disease, represent the GAETQ internationally, work on the improvement of the disease follow up around the world, help with the GAETQ financing, and to confirm the province of Québec as a world leader in Tyrosinemia.
